The Emirates Library Association elects its new Board of Directors


Sharjah, 17 March / WAM / The Emirates Library and Information Association, during its regular general assembly meeting held yesterday at the Sharjah Book Authority, elected its new board of directors for the session “2026 – 2029”, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Community Empowerment and the Department of Social Services in Sharjah.
The results of the elections resulted in the victory of: Fahd Ali Al-Maamari, Fadel Hussein Busaim, Sultan Saif Al-Mazrouei, Ahmed Muhammad Al-Mushtaghal, Hamad Salim Al-Humairi, Sheikha Abdullah Al-Mutairi, and Iman Salem Al-Hamoudi as members of the new Board of Directors.
During the meeting, the General Assembly discussed the administrative report, which reviewed the most prominent work of the association during the year 2025, including the scientific programs that were implemented, and the external and internal participations, in addition to the meetings that were held during the year to discuss ways of cooperation and development of the library and information sector.
He also reviewed the financial report, where the association’s financial situation and future plans were clarified, in addition to presenting the proposed amendments to the association’s bylaws in accordance with the new laws, which were approved by the members of the General Assembly.
The new Board of Directors of the Association was formed under the chairmanship of Fahd Ali Al-Maamari as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Fadel Hussein Abu Waseem as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sultan Saif Al-Mazrouei as Treasurer, Ahmed Muhammad Al-Mushtaghl as Secretary, and the membership of Hamad Salim Al-Humairi, Sheikha Abdullah Al-Mutairi, and Iman Salem Al-Hamoudi.
