المملكة: Urgent – Eid weather… weather fluctuations, thunderstorms, and winds starting Wednesday

A number of regions of the Kingdom will witness rainy weather from next Wednesday until next Monday, as it dominates Eid al-Fitr atmosphere, with expectations of rain Thunderstorms of varying intensity covering large areas, which may be accompanied by active winds that stir up dust, torrent flow, and hail in some locations, in addition to a rise in waves on the coasts.

This weather condition comes within the fluctuations of the spring season, which is characterized by atmospheric instability and a wide range of rainfall in different parts of the Kingdom.

Thunderstorms in various regions

Moderate to heavy rain in the Tabuk region on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, including the cities and governorates of Tabuk, Taima, Haql, Al-Bida’, Neum, Duba, Al-Wajh, and Umluj, while rain will fall again on Saturday, March 21, but it will be light to moderate.

The situation also includes the Al-Jawf region on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, with moderate to heavy rain extending to Qurayyat, Tabarjal, and Dumat Al-Jandal. And Sakaka, while the northern border region will be affected during the same period by moderate to heavy rains, including Turaif, Arar, Rafha, and Al-Uwaiqila, with light to moderate rains continuing on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22.

In the Medina region, the report expected moderate to heavy rains on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, including Medina, Wadi Al-Fara’, Badr, Yanbu, Al-Eis, Al-Ula, Khaybar, Al-Hanakiyah, and Al-Mahd.

As for the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, the Holy Capital, Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Khulais and Bahra are expected to witness moderate to heavy rains on the evening of Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19, while the governorates of Jeddah and Rabigh will be affected by light to moderate rains during the same period.

The rainy situation also extends from Thursday, March 19 to Monday, March 23 in the governorates of Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, Turabah, Al-Mawiya, Al-Khurma, and Raniyah with rain. Moderate to heavy rains.

The report indicated that the Al-Baha region will be affected by moderate to heavy rains starting from Thursday, March 19, until Monday, March 23, including the city of Al-Baha and the governorates of Baljurashi, Al-Mandaq, Qilwah, Bani Hassan, Al-Qura, Al-Makhwah, Al-Hajra, Ghamid Al-Zanad, and Al-Aqiq.

The situation also includes the Asir region during the period from Thursday, March 19 to Monday, March 23, with moderate to heavy rains. In most governorates, including Abha, Khamis Mushayt, Al-Namas, Bisha, and Tathleeth. In the Jazan region, the center expected moderate to heavy rains from Thursday, March 19, to Monday, March 23, in the governorates of Al-Reith, Haroub, Al-Dair, Al-Eidabi, Fayfa, Al-Arda, and Al-Harath, while the governorates of Jizan, Baish, Sabya, Samtah, and Farasan will witness moderate rains during the period from Saturday, March 21, to Monday, March 23.

The rainy situation also extends to the Najran region, where moderate to heavy rains are expected from Thursday, March 19 to Monday, March 23, includes the city of Najran and the governorates of Badr al-Janoub, Habouna, Yadma, Thar, and Sharurah. In the Riyadh region, the report indicated that light to moderate rain is expected from Wednesday, March 18, to Monday, March 23, and may reach heavy rains on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, and includes the city of Riyadh, Dalam, Al-Muzahmiyah, Shaqra, Al-Zulfi, Al-Majma’ah, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Quwayiyah, Wadi Al-Dawasir, and Al-Aflaj.

The rain also includes the Hail region on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, with moderate to heavy rain in the city of Hail. And the governorates of Al-Ghazala, Baqa, Samira, and the rest of the governorates.

In the Qassim region, moderate to heavy rains are expected on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, including Buraidah, Unayzah, Al-Rass, Al-Bukayriyah, Al-Mudhab, and the rest of the governorates.

As for the eastern region, it will be affected by the rainy situation on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, with moderate to heavy rains in the Hafr Al-Batin and Al-Khafji governorates, while the cities of Hafr Al-Batin and Al-Khafji will witness Dammam, Jubail, Qatif, Al-Khobar, Al-Ahsa, and Abqaiq experienced light to moderate rain that could reach heavy rain on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, and will continue until Monday, March 23.

The report indicated the classification of the intensity of rain accompanying the weather condition, as light rain ranges between 1 and 4 millimeters per hour, and is often accompanied by descending winds reaching a speed of about 50 kilometers per hour, while stirring up dust.

Medium rain ranges between 5 and 9 millimeters per hour, and may be accompanied by winds reaching speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour, along with torrential rains, hail, and high waves.

As for heavy rains, their amounts may range between 10 and 50 millimeters per hour or more, and may be accompanied by winds exceeding 60 kilometers per hour, in addition to torrent flow, hail, and rising waves, with the possibility of tornadoes forming in some areas. Cases.

The National Center of Meteorology called on everyone to follow the reports and warnings issued through its website, the “Anwaa” application, and its accounts on social media, and to adhere to the instructions of the competent authorities in order to preserve safety.
