Juventus is close to renewing the contract with Spalletti

Italian club Juventus and technical director Luciano Spaliotti are close to reaching an agreement to extend their contract until June 2027, with the option to extend for an additional season, according to a news report.
Romeo Agreste, a journalist specializing in Juventus club news, wrote on his account on the social networking site (X) on Tuesday that the team, nicknamed “The Old Lady,” and its Italian coach, Spalletti, are close to agreeing on a new contract.
Spalletti was appointed head of the technical leadership of Juventus at the end of last October, succeeding Croatian Igor Tudor, but he signed a contract only until the end of the current season.
Negotiations on the new contract began weeks ago, and according to Agreste, the two parties are preparing to put some final touches before officially announcing the renewal of the contract.
A Juventus expert confirms that the new contract will extend until June 2027, with the option to extend for an additional season.
Juventus currently occupies fifth place in the Italian League standings, one point behind Como, who is in fourth place, but Spalletti won 16 of the 29 matches in which he led the team.
