The UAE confirms that targeting energy facilities linked to the Pars field constitutes a threat to global energy security

The United Arab Emirates has confirmed that targeting energy facilities linked to the South Pars field in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is an extension of the North Field in the sister State of Qatar, represents a dangerous escalation, stressing that targeting the energy sector infrastructure constitutes a direct threat to global energy security, and to the security and stability of the region and its people. It also entails serious environmental repercussions, and exposes civilians, navigation security, and vital civil and industrial installations to direct risks.

The state stressed the need to avoid targeting vital installations under any circumstances, stressing the importance of adhering to international law and maintaining security and stability in the region.
