“Education” determines the components of distance learning in the first two weeks of the third semester

The Ministry of Education has identified the features of the educational process during the implementation of the distance learning system in the first two weeks of the third semester of the academic year 2025-2026, scheduled to begin Monday, March 23, stressing that it is an integrated model that is not limited to virtual classes, but is based on a diverse system of educational activities that ensure the continuity of learning efficiently from home.

Learning components

The Ministry explained, within the “Parents’ Guide to Distance Learning”, the details of which were reviewed by Emirates Today, that the learning components include a package of educational tools and methods, foremost of which are direct online classes with teachers, in addition to individual learning activities that the student carries out independently, as well as educational tasks that are completed without an Internet connection, such as reading, writing, and creative activities, in addition to recorded educational explanations and presentations that allow students to review the content at any time.

Diversity and qualitative transformation

She stressed that this diversity reflects a qualitative shift in the concept of distance learning, as it is no longer just a traditional transfer of the class lesson to a screen, but rather has become a complex educational model that combines direct interaction, self-learning, and practical application, in a way that meets the individual differences among students, and gives them greater flexibility in absorbing the content according to their abilities and learning speeds.

More than one way

The Ministry indicated that this approach allows schools to distribute the educational process through more than one means, which enhances the effectiveness of learning and reduces the challenges associated with relying on only one method, especially in home environments that differ in their readiness and circumstances.

Supported platforms

In the same context, she explained that school administrations are responsible for organizing the educational process by publishing school schedules and instructions via approved digital platforms, in addition to official communication channels, stressing the importance of parents’ commitment to following these channels exclusively, to ensure obtaining accurate information and avoiding any confusion or unreliable information.

Role integration

The Ministry stressed that the success of the distance learning system depends on the integration of roles between the school and the family, in light of a flexible educational environment based on a diversity of methods, and aimed at achieving effective and sustainable educational outcomes.
