The European Union welcomes Trump’s postponement of the bombing of Iranian power plants

European Union foreign policy chief Kaya Kallas welcomed on Monday US President Donald Trump’s announcement that he would not launch any attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure.

Callas, who was meeting with Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Togar in Abuja, said that attacks on infrastructure are causing chaos in the region and leading to a further escalation of this war.

Trump said on Monday that he had issued orders to postpone any military strikes against Iranian power plants for five days.
