The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia joins the countries of the world in celebrating 2026, which falls on the twenty-third of March of each year, and this year is held under the slogan "We monitor today…to protect tomorrow"
This is an emphasis on the importance of meteorological and climate monitoring in supporting human safety and enhancing preparedness to confront weather phenomena and climate changes.

This occasion comes in light of the qualitative development the Kingdom is witnessing in the meteorological system, through the use of modern technologies, the development of monitoring and early warning systems, and the strengthening of integration with relevant authorities, in a way that contributes to the safety of lives, the protection of property, and the support of decision-making based on Data.
It is considered one of the seasonal signs associated with the beginning of the second month of spring, and the accompanying climate changes, an increase in plant growth, and an increase in the size of the leaves during this period.
