15 participation boosts Simar’s chances at the Dubai World Cup for Horses evening

Dubai, March 24 / WAM / Trainer Popat Simar seeks to continue his distinguished successes on the evening of the Dubai World Cup, March 28, in light of the remarkable record he achieved in a short period of time since obtaining his training license in 2022, where he won the title of the “Dubai Golden Shaheen” race, twice via “Switzerland” and “Tooz”, in addition to winning the Dubai World Cup, with a prize of 12 million dollars, by “Laurel River” two years ago.
This year, Simar is fielding 15 horses in the races, the largest number among all participating trainers, including two horses in the main race of the Dubai World Cup, “Imperial Emperor” and “Walk of Stars,” who are making their second attempt after finishing fourth and eleventh, respectively, in last year’s edition.
Simar confirmed that “Imperial Emperor” appeared at a better level compared to last year after being given a suitable rest period, while “Walk of Stars” continued its gradual development this season, indicating that both of them are in good readiness.
Regarding the competition, he explained that the confrontation will not be easy in light of the participation of “Forever Young”, champion of the Saudi Cup and the Breeders’ Cup Classic, describing it as the best horse in the world, and stressing that competing with it represents an important challenge and a strong opportunity.
In the “Dubai Golden Shaheen” speed race, Simar is counting on “Tooz” to regain the title, noting that he deals with caution with the nine-year-old horse, considering that he is currently experiencing his best condition despite not being fully prepared in his last participation.
Droz Gold, who has not lost this season, will also participate alongside Mufasa, winner of the third category race, as Simar explained that the former has good fitness, while work is still underway to extract the best from the latter, especially after jockey Ryan Moore praised his performance in his last participation.
In the “Emirates Derby” for the second category, Simar participates with four horses: “Ramas” and “Lino Padrino,” the winners on the track, and “Six Speed,” the champion of the “Emirates 2000 Guineas,” in addition to “Saloum,” who possesses great abilities despite his erratic behavior at the starting gates.
Simar explained that “Saloum” underwent extensive training at the starting gates, pointing out that his commitment to calmness will give him an opportunity to show his great talent, while “Six Speed” has high speed and great ambitions, especially after obtaining the qualifying points for the “Kentucky Derby,” with his owners looking forward to achieving more.
Despite having the largest number of participations, Simar stressed that success ultimately depends on the performance of the horses and riders, stressing that his role is limited to preparing the horses in the best possible way before the start of the races.
