North Korea.. Kim Jong Un re-elected as head of state affairs

North Korea’s Legislative Council re-elected Kim Jong Un as head of state affairs, official media announced yesterday.
North Korea’s official news agency announced Kim’s reappointment as head of the State Affairs Commission, the highest governing and decision-making body in the country.
The agency said, “The Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea re-elected Comrade Kim Jong Un as President of State Affairs in the first session, which is the first event of its fifteenth session, on March 22.”
The report said that Kim’s decision to re-elect Kim to the presidency reflects “the united will of all Koreans.”
Kim Jong Un is the third-generation ruler of the nuclear-armed state founded by his grandfather, Kim Il Sung, in 1948. He has ruled the country since his father’s death in 2011.
The North Korean news agency published pictures showing Kim in an official uniform sitting on a stage, while surrounded by senior officials in front of two huge statues of his father, Kim Jong Il, and his grandfather.
