المملكة: A 7.6 magnitude earthquake strikes near Tonga in the South Pacific Ocean

Hit A strong earthquake with an initial intensity of 7.6 on the Richter scale today near Tonga, south of Pacific Ocean.

The US Geological Survey said the earthquake occurred at a depth of about 237 kilometers.

The epicenter of the tremor was at sea, 153 kilometers west of Neiafu, the second largest city in the island nation, and there were no immediate reports of any damage.
