The Head of State and the President of Slovenia discuss by telephone cooperation relations and regional developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a phone call today from Dr. Natasa Burke Musar, President of the Republic of Slovenia, during which she condemned the ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and countries of the region, which target civilians, civilian facilities and infrastructure, as they represent a violation of the sovereignty of these countries and international laws and norms and an undermining of regional security and stability.

Musar affirmed Slovenia’s solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures it takes to defend its security and stability and ensure the safety of its lands, citizens and residents, praising the UAE’s wise management of the crisis and its measures to preserve the security and safety of its citizens, residents and visitors.

During the call, the two sides discussed developments in the security situation in the region in light of the military escalation it is witnessing, its repercussions on regional and global security and peace, and its dangerous effects on the security of international navigation and the global economy.

The two sides stressed the need to immediately stop the military escalation and give priority to serious dialogue and diplomatic means in addressing the region’s outstanding issues in a way that preserves its security and stability and avoids further tensions and crises.

The call also discussed various aspects of cooperation and opportunities for its development, stressing the shared keenness to continue supporting bilateral relations in a way that enhances the mutual interests of the two countries, serves their development priorities, and brings goodness and development to their peoples.
