“Industry”: Issuing 161 industrial licenses and starting production in 107 facilities within a month
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 161 new industrial licenses during the month of January, noting that production began in 107 new factories during the same month. According to the report of the Ministry’s National Center for Industrial and Mining Information, the volume of investments related to the new licenses amounted to more than 3.14 billion riyals, and it is expected that these projects will contribute to providing more than 1,419 job opportunities in various regions of the Kingdom. In contrast, the value of Investmentsin factories that began production during the month of October are 1.11 billion riyals, with job opportunities estimated at 1,437 new jobs, which reflects the continued expansion of the industrial base in the Kingdom, and the high pace of factories entering actual operation. The Ministry issues monthly highlights through the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information Industrial indicators, which reflect the movement of industrial activity in the Kingdom, including the volume of new investments, the number of licenses issued, and factories starting production, within the framework of enhancing transparency and keeping pace with monitoring the industrial growth process witnessed by the Kingdom.
