Dubai Electronic Security Center warns against fraud attempts via fake QR codes

The Dubai Electronic Security Center has warned of an increase in fraud attempts via fake QR codes, especially received via email, as fraudsters take advantage of the rapid circulation of information to publish codes claiming to provide updates or urgent services.
The center added that these codes may lead to the installation of malicious programs on devices, or direct users to fake sites aimed at stealing personal and financial data.
