Iran wants to reduce Washington’s demands before ceasefire talks

Informed sources said that Iran wants the United States to reduce its demands contained in the 15-point plan, before agreeing to hold a meeting to discuss a possible ceasefire, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The sources added that Iran is open to the possibility of holding talks, but considers the American proposal exaggerated, because it includes demands to “dismantle most of its nuclear program,” “end its support for its allies in the region,” and “impose restrictions on its missile program.”
Iranian and Arab officials told the newspaper that Tehran has ruled out discussing its missile program as a starting point for the talks, and does not want to commit to ending uranium enrichment permanently.
