Egypt.. “Representatives and Senate” condemn Iran’s attacks on the Gulf states

On Saturday, the House of Representatives and the Senate in Egypt condemned the attacks committed by Iran against the Arab Gulf states and Jordan, as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of countries, a direct threat to their security and stability, and a grave violation of the rules of international law and the principles of good neighborliness.

The two councils affirmed in a joint statement, “These attacks cannot be viewed as isolated events, but rather are an extremely dangerous development that affects the entire Arab security system, and puts the stability of the region to a real test. Therefore, Egypt declares its complete and unconditional solidarity with its brothers, and confirms its standing by their side in the face of these attacks, based on solid historical ties, an extended strategic partnership, and a common destiny that does not accept division or compromise.”

The two councils stressed that the security of the Arab Gulf states and Jordan is an integral part of Egyptian national security, and that any infringement on their sovereignty or stability is a direct infringement on Egypt’s supreme interests, which requires a unified Arab position that is clear and firm, and rejects any attempts to impose reality by force or undermine the stability of countries.

In this context, the two councils affirmed that “the Egyptian move was not a constructive position or formal solidarity, but rather an active and direct move led by the Egyptian political leadership with the leaders of the Gulf states and Jordan, carrying decisive messages that do not tolerate interpretation, to the effect that Egypt stands on one line with its brothers, and that their security is an integral part of its national security.”
