Operation Gallant Knight (3) launches the “Zayed Marathon” in the Gaza Strip with the participation of 500 runners

Operation Gallant Knight (3) in the Gaza Strip launched the “Zayed Marathon” event with the participation of (500) competitors, as part of a series of activities and refresher tournaments that it implements with the aim of supporting young people and athletes after the absence of sporting activities for more than two years as a result of the difficult events in the Strip.

The race started from the entrance to the Bureij refugee camp and reached Deir al-Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip, during which the participants covered a four-kilometre route amid an enthusiastic atmosphere that reflected the athletes’ determination to continue sporting activities despite the challenges.

The marathon witnessed the honoring of the first-place winners on the podium, in an encouraging step to motivate participants and support the continuation of such events.

The organization of the Zayed Marathon, whose results reflected the spirit of competition and determination among the participants, comes within the ongoing efforts of Operation Gallant Knight (3) to support youth and enhance sports activities in the Gaza Strip, especially in light of the difficult circumstances that the population is experiencing.
