المملكة: Najran records the highest amounts of rain within 24 hours

The Hima monitoring station in the Thar Center in the Najran region recorded the highest amount of precipitation Rainfallin the Kingdom during the past 24 hours, and the amount recorded at the station reached 27.4 mm, according to the daily report issued by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
The hydrological and climatological stations affiliated with the Ministry and the National Center of Meteorology monitored rain flows, including 24 monitoring stations in various regions, and the precipitation was distributed between the regions of Najran, Asir, Jazan, Makkah, Riyadh, and Sharqiya.
The Asir region witnessed widespread rainfall, concentrated in the city of Abha and its suburbs, and the Al-Sha’af station in Abha recorded 15.8 mm, followed by the center of the Emirate of Al-Sha’af with 15.7 mm.
Various rains
The stations also recorded 13.4 mm in both the Al-Zahraa and Sha’ar neighborhoods, while Abha Airport recorded 11.8 mm, and the rain included Sarat Ubaidah and Al-Harjah. Dhaharan Al-Janoub, with varying amounts ranging between 0.8 mm and 10.0 mm.
The Jazan region achieved good amounts of rain recorded by monitoring stations in the mountainous sector. Fifa Governorate topped the amounts in the region with 14.4 mm, while Al-Daer Station recorded 2.7 mm.
These readings come within the time period extending from the morning of Friday, March 27, until the morning of Saturday, March 28, 2026 AD, and the Ministry works through 939 call centers to follow up on reports related to water and the environment.
The rest of the recorded amounts of rain were distributed in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiya in light quantities. In Mecca, Al-Awila Barneyah recorded 1.2 mm, and Kyad in Al-Qunfudhah 1.0 mm.
As for the Riyadh region, the amount reached 0.5 mm in Al-Sibani in Durma and Al-Badi’ Al-Shamali in Al-Aflaj.
The eastern region recorded 0.5 mm of precipitation at Al-Bathaa outlet in Al-Udayd, according to the daily rain bulletin.
