French police foil an explosive device attack in front of the Bank of America

The French news agency reported on Saturday that the French police had thwarted an attack with an explosive device in Paris, outside the American banking institution “Bank of America”, as they arrested a man who was preparing to detonate the device.

According to the same source, the incident occurred around three-thirty in the morning on Rue de la Boitie in the west center of the French capital, in front of the Bank of America building, where police arrested a man who had just placed a hand-made explosive device. The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecution is investigating the attempted attack.

The device consisted of a five-liter container containing a liquid likely to be hydrocarbons, and a release mechanism.
