Angelina Jolie shined in a white silk ensemble, as she walked on the red carpet, alongside the creative director of Tom Ford, Haider Ackermann, during the “Shanghai Fashion Week” event. However, her captivating presence was accompanied by some controversy over her health, and during her presence on the red carpet, she contented herself with a brief statement to reporters, in which she said: “I am very grateful to be here… I wish I had more time, and I look forward to coming back again.”

Angelina Jolie’s attendance at Shanghai Fashion Week comes a few days after her tragic death of her uncle, the prominent American songwriter Chip Taylor, at the age of 86, while he was in a nursing home, leaving behind a great artistic legacy and a deep impact on the memory of music lovers.

Angelina Jolie’s appearance at Shanghai Fashion Week came about a month after her last appearance in Paris, while attending the special screening of her new film, “Couture,” in which she plays the role of “Maxine Walker,” an American film director who faces a difficult health diagnosis while at Paris Fashion Week. During the events of the film, Maxine Walker finds herself faced with an exceptional professional opportunity, as she is asked to produce an artwork for the French fashion house, Chanel, but her life turns upside down after she receives news that she has a disease that may threaten her life.

According to previous statements by the American star, in which she indicated that her connection to the film stems from her personal experience with cancer, as her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died; As a result of complications from ovarian and breast cancer in 2007, she said: “I feel that this is a very personal film… It was so special that it does not seem to me like a film in the traditional sense.”
