The Head of State receives the Emir of Qatar during a fraternal visit to the Emirates and they discuss developments in the region

During their meeting today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” discussed with his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar, developments in the situation in the region in light of the military escalation and its repercussions on regional and international security and stability, in addition to its serious effects on the security of international navigation and the global economy.

The meeting also touched on the ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE, Qatar, and countries in the region, which target civilians, civilian installations and infrastructure, and the efforts of the two countries to defend their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their territories and citizens.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed fraternal relations and ways to enhance various paths of cooperation and joint work in a way that serves the development priorities and common interests of the two countries and brings goodness and prosperity to their peoples.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President, and a number of officials.

It was also attended by the delegation accompanying His Highness the Emir of Qatar, which includes His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Personal Representative of the Emir, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, Head of the Emiri Diwan, and a number of officials.

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived in the country earlier today on a fraternal visit, where he was received at the airport by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and a number of Their Highnesses sheikhs and officials.
