Food Safety closes Desert Breeze Café in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued an administrative closure decision against the “Desert Breeze Café” facility in the Al Dhafra region – Madinat Zayed and Western Souq in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, due to its violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the legislation issued pursuant thereto, as well as its danger to public health.
The authority explained that the food control report stated that the administrative closure decision against the facility came as a result of repeated food safety violations and the failure to apply effective corrective measures, which necessitated taking immediate action to ensure food safety and the health of consumers.
The Authority confirmed that the administrative closure order will continue until the causes of the violation are eliminated, with the possibility of resuming activity after the facility’s conditions are completely corrected and all food safety requirements are adhered to.
She pointed out that the administrative closure and detection of violations comes within the authority’s plan to strengthen the food safety system in Abu Dhabi and that all food establishments undergo periodic inspection to ensure their compliance with the requirements, with a focus on proactive protection of consumers and ensuring that all establishments adhere to food safety requirements.
