The Kuwaiti National Guard denies what is being circulated about a radiation leak

The Kuwaiti National Guard denied the validity of what was circulated on some social media sites regarding the possibility of a radiation leak, stressing that the readings in the airspace and territorial waters of the State of Kuwait are within normal rates.

The Kuwait News Agency quoted the official spokesman for the National Guard, Brigadier General Dr. Jadaan Fadel, as saying that the specialized teams at the Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Center for Chemical Defense and Radiation Monitoring are continuously monitoring the situation in coordination and cooperation with the relevant state authorities to ensure the safety of everyone, stressing that the radiation monitoring system works around the clock with all efficiency and ability.

He called on everyone to rely on official sources and not be led by rumors or unconfirmed information.
