"inherited" Announces the launch of the Motor Performance Design Diploma

Declare The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts, represented by the College of Performing Arts, announced the launch of the Intermediate Diploma in Movement Performance Design program, as part of its specialized academic programs aimed at teaching and developing the Saudi performing arts, through training paths that combine originality and innovation, and contribute to preparing national cadres capable of expressing the Saudi heritage in contemporary ways, and enhancing the presence of the performing arts in the local and international cultural scene.
The institute explained that the program comes within its system of educational programs that focus on developing Creative abilities in the fields of motor performance, by providing integrated academic and applied content aimed at sharpening students’ imaginations and preparing them to become motor designers in various performing arts, by learning the basics of motor performance, design and directing, in addition to identifying and analyzing Saudi traditional methods, giving them a deep cultural understanding and the ability to express contemporary art.
Program start date
The institute stated that study in the program will be in person at the headquarters of the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts “Worth” in the Al-Fouta neighborhood. In the city of Riyadh, for a period of two academic years consisting of four semesters within a morning study schedule, provided that the start date of the program and the closing date of registration will be announced later, stressing that all “WORTH” programs are provided free of charge to Saudi citizens.
The program includes a set of specialized courses that focus on designing performing movements that combine artistic expression and thoughtful motor construction, knowing and analyzing traditional and contemporary motor performance methods, and understanding the cultural and motor characteristics of Saudi performing arts.
Creating renewed performance performances
In addition to applying performance techniques, improvisation, and experimentation in expressive movements, combining the theoretical and practical aspects through implementing realistic performance projects, and working within artistic teams to produce integrated theatrical performances that contribute to building practical experience among students.
The program aims to prepare designers capable of creating renewed performance performances based on Saudi cultural identity, enhancing understanding of the cultural contexts associated with Saudi performing arts, and enabling students to develop their skills. In motion design using professional methods, which contributes to supporting the national cultural movement and enhancing the production of artistic performances that combine originality and innovation, and keep pace with the development of the cultural scene in the Kingdom.
