UAE air defenses dealt with 9 ballistic missiles, a mobile missile, and 50 drones today

The Ministry of Defense announced that today, April 5, 2026, the UAE air defenses dealt with 9 ballistic missiles, a mobile missile, and 50 drones coming from Iran. No cases of martyrdom, injuries, or deaths were recorded during the past hours.

Since the start of the blatant Iranian attacks, the UAE air defenses have dealt with 507 ballistic missiles, 24 mobile missiles, and 2,191 drones. The total number of martyrs was two martyrs, in addition to the martyrdom of a civilian of Moroccan nationality contracted with the armed forces, while the total number of deaths reached 10 civilians of the nationalities: Pakistani, Nepalese, Bengali, Palestinian, Indian, and Egyptian.

The total number of casualties since the start of the blatant Iranian attacks on the UAE reached 217, from multiple nationalities including: Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bengali, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comoros, Turkish, and Iraqi. Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan, and Russian.

The Ministry of Defense affirms that it is fully prepared and ready to deal with any threats, and to firmly confront everything that aims to destabilize the security of the state, in a way that ensures the preservation of its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protects its national interests and capabilities.
