Iran says it shot down an American plane during the search for the missing pilot

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said on Sunday that it had shot down an American plane that was participating in rescue operations for the pilot whose plane crashed on Friday, according to Tasnim news agency.

The agency quoted the Revolutionary Guard as saying that "An enemy plane searching for a pilot was destroyed south of Isfahan"without confirming US President Donald Trump’s announcement that the pilot had been rescued.
