A global campaign is launched on this day and will last for a whole year, with the aim of highlighting the power of Scientific cooperation in confronting common health challenges, which are not limited to humans only, but extend to animals, plants, and the environment.

Transforming scientific evidence into health policies

World Health Day 2026 is approaching "One health"which confirms the close interrelation between human health, animal health, and the safety of ecosystems.

This approach aims to transform scientific evidence into practical policies and procedures, by enhancing cooperation between the health, environmental, and agricultural sectors, in a way that limits the spread of diseases and enhances the early response to health crises.

The most prominent events of World Health Day 2026

This year’s campaign is based on two prominent international events that represent the largest health scientific gathering in the world:

The International Summit on "One health"held on April 7, and hosted by the Government of France within its presidency of the G7, and the inaugural Global Forum of Collaborating Centers with the World Health Organization, during the period from April 7 to 9.

About 800 scientific institutions from more than 80 countries participate in these two events, in an unprecedented network that confirms that science-based partnerships are capable of creating a real transformation in the future of global health.

Objectives of the World Health Day campaign

The World Health Day 2026 campaign seeks to mobilize various parties to work together for health, calling for:
