Abu Dhabi hosts the 2027 Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism
ABU DHABI, 7 APRIL / WAM / Abu Dhabi will host the nineteenth session of the “Global Conference for Chinese Entrepreneurs” during the month of October 2027 at the “ADNEC Abu Dhabi” Center, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau in the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, the tourism partner for the session.
The conference, which was established in 1991, is being held for the first time in the Middle East, with the participation of about 5,000 Chinese entrepreneurs from around the world, which strengthens the emirate’s position as a leading destination in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector, and highlights the comprehensive modern infrastructure it provides, and inspiring tourism and cultural experiences.
Hosting this event is in line with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to increase the number of visitors to Abu Dhabi to 39.3 million visitors annually by 2030, with a growth rate of more than 50% compared to 2023.
The organizers of the 2025 session, which was recently concluded in Macau, handed over the conference flag to the organizers of its next session in Abu Dhabi in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; His Excellency Zhang Yiming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the country; His Excellency Saeed Al Fazari, Executive Director of the Strategic Affairs Sector at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi; Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chinese Chamber of Commerce; Tang Zhengang, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in the UAE and Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee.
His Excellency Saleh Mohammed Al Jaziri, Director General of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism, said: Hosting the Global Conference for Chinese Entrepreneurs for the first time in the Middle East reflects Abu Dhabi’s leading position as a global business center and a beacon of culture and innovation. International events and conferences constitute a major pillar of support for the tourism sector, which contributes to advancing economic diversification efforts. We look forward to welcoming participants in this prestigious event.
He added that the event gives us a platform to build new partnerships and deepen dialogue with Chinese entrepreneurs, while highlighting what Abu Dhabi offers in terms of exceptional tourism, advanced infrastructure, and authentic hospitality.
He said: With the opening of new museums in the Saadiyat Cultural District, and the announcement of upcoming entertainment projects such as “Abu Dhabi Ambassador” and Disney World and Resort, we are continuing to attract more Chinese visitors, especially those wishing to explore new business opportunities and unique experiences.
For his part, His Excellency Ambassador Zhang Yiming said: Chinese-UAE relations are witnessing their best stages, and Abu Dhabi’s support for hosting the World Conference for Chinese Entrepreneurs confirms its commitment to strengthening these established bilateral relations.
He said that organizing this major event provides a platform for constructive cooperation and benefits the two peoples, and also contributes to adding greater momentum to the global development process by empowering Chinese entrepreneurs abroad.
The meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector contributes to achieving the goals of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy 2030, as in 2024 the emirate hosted about 4,000 events within this sector, which received more than 1.55 million visitors, an increase of 62% compared to the previous year.
