US President Donald Trump announced his agreement to suspend the bombing and attack on Iran for two weeks, indicating that the ceasefire would be on both sides and dependent on Iran’s position on opening the Strait of Hormuz.
Al-Arabiya channel quoted Trump as saying: All previous points of disagreement with Iran were agreed upon, and based on Iran’s agreement to the immediate and complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz, it agreed to suspend the bombing of Iran.
He continued: We have come a long way in reaching a final agreement on long-term peace with Iran, and I agreed to suspend the bombing. Iran, based on talks with the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The problem is approaching a solution
Trump said: We have achieved all the military goals in Iran and exceeded them, and I see that the chronic problem with Iran is approaching a solution.
He added: The two-week deadline will allow the agreement with Iran to be completed and activated, and we have received a 10-point proposal from Iran, and we believe it is a practical basis for negotiation.
