The Business Group for the Food Sector at the Ajman Chamber reviews the latest developments in supply chains

Ajman, 8 April / WAM / Yesterday, the Ajman Chamber organized a meeting for the business group for the food sector in the chamber, to learn about the latest developments in food supply chains and to enhance integration and connectivity between the relevant authorities from the government and private sectors, in a way that contributes to developing the efficiency and sustainability of this vital sector, as part of its efforts to strengthen the food security system.
The meeting, which was held at the Ajman Chamber headquarters, was chaired by His Excellency Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Chamber, in the presence of Mohammed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Member Support Services Sector, Jamila Kajoor Al Nuaimi, Director of Member Relations and Support Department, and members of the group of officials and representatives of government and private agencies, including factories, food companies, and shopping malls.
His Excellency Salem Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of the meeting and the need to enhance coordination and intensify joint efforts between the government and private sectors, and work to adopt innovative and proactive solutions with the aim of raising the efficiency of the food security system in keeping with global changes, praising the efforts of government agencies in monitoring markets and achieving stability through an integrated control system that guarantees the abundance of basic commodities and the stability of their prices.
He also appreciated the efforts of the Chamber members, including factories and companies operating in the food sector, and their vital role in strengthening the food security system and achieving advanced levels of self-sufficiency by developing their production capabilities and adopting innovation.
The meeting discussed the action plan for the next phase to ensure the continuity of food supply chains and enhance their flexibility in the face of global changes, by developing coordination mechanisms between the concerned authorities, raising the efficiency of storage and transportation, and adopting innovative solutions.
The attendees also exchanged proposals, visions and development ideas to enhance the role of the food sector business group in achieving Ajman’s goals and vision.
