Oil returns to $100 levels amid fears of violating the truce between America and Iran

Oil and gas prices rose today, Thursday, with the increasing fragility of Ceasefire in the Middle East, as Israel continued its attacks on Lebanon, and the United States and Iran exchanged threats to return to military operations.
The price of Brent crude, the global standard, rose by more than 2% to return to the level of $100 per barrel, while the price of American light crude rose by approximately 3% to reach $97.23 per barrel.
And yesterday, Wednesday, Brent crude fell by 13.29%, recording its lowest level in four weeks at $94.75 per barrel.
Gas prices rose again, as the price of the gas contract rose. British forward futures for next month rose 1% to 115.35 pence per thermal unit, after falling 15% on Wednesday following the announcement of a ceasefire.
And European natural gas futures rose about 46 euros per megawatt-hour on Thursday, recovering from a five-week low. It fell by approximately 15% to 45.30 euros per megawatt hour on Wednesday.
