The opportunity came to me… and I was 100% ready for it.

Al-Wasl team regained its winning streak after goalkeeper Khaled Al-Sanani, after achieving an important victory over Ajman with a score of 3-1, in the confrontation that brought together the two teams yesterday evening at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium, in the 22nd round of the Professional Football League, in the presence of about 2,000 spectators.

Goalkeeper Suhail Abdullah made a remarkable presence in his first participation with Al-Wasl this season, after the club ended its relationship with first-choice goalkeeper Al-Sanani following the events that accompanied the Sharjah match in the last round.

Suhail Abdullah said in press statements after the end of the match: “We congratulate ourselves on the victory. We controlled the course of the match and deserved to win, and this result is an important motivation for us before facing Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia in the AFC Champions League 2.”

Regarding his primary participation, he said: “The opportunity came to me at a time when I was 100% ready for it. I thank the management, the technical staff and the fans for their support, and I hope I live up to expectations.”

He added in his message to the fans: “I hope for the support of the fans of Al-Wasl Club and other clubs in the next match, as it is important and fateful, and it will be on our stadium and in front of our fans, and we hope that we will appear in it in a strong way.”

“The Emperor” raised its score to 36 points, advancing to fourth place, while “Orange”’s score froze at 24 points in eighth place.

Al Wasl’s goals were scored by Mikel Borja in the 37th minute, Ali Saleh in the 74th minute, while the third goal came with friendly fire in the 79th minute after Ajman goalkeeper Ali Al Hosani accidentally scored in his own net, while Ajman scored its only goal in the 90th + 1 minute by Lethiri Silva from a penalty kick.

For its part, the Al-Jazira team came away with third place, qualifying for external participation, after achieving an exciting victory over its guest, Dibba, with a score of 4-3, in the confrontation that brought them together yesterday, in the presence of about 1,500 spectators.

“Abu Dhabi Pride” raised its score to 40 points, expanding the difference to four points with its closest rivals, strengthening its position in the continental qualification race, while Dibba’s position worsened further, after its score froze at 17 points in last place.

Al-Jazira’s goals were scored by Mohamed Rabie (19), Nabil Fekir (39), and Vinicius Melo “two goals” (50 and 75), while the goals of “Al-Nawakhtha” were scored by Carlos Vinicius (18), Andrego Araujo (63), and Maidana Pegna (88).

Al-Nasr continues its strong results away from home

Al-Nasr team continued its strong results away from home for the seventh consecutive match in the professional league, after achieving a valuable victory with a clean goal at the expense of its host Al-Dhafra, yesterday, at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium, in the presence of about 2,000 spectators.

Al-Ameed raised his series of matches without losing outside his stadium to seven consecutive matches (4 wins – 3 draws), reflecting his technical stability and ability to score points in difficult circumstances. The winning goal against Al Dhafra was scored by substitute Chickena Doumbia in the 77th minute.

The victory raised Al-Ameed’s score to 31 points in sixth place. On the other hand, the loss caused Al Dhafra’s position to worsen further after its balance froze at 18 points.

Khorfakkan and Al-Bataeh stumble in a draw

A positive 1-1 draw dominated the confrontation between Khor Fakkan and its guest Al Bataeh in the match that brought the two teams together at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium, within the 22nd round, in the presence of about 1,000 spectators. This is a result that does not serve the ambitions of the two teams in the struggle to avoid relegation.

Al-Bataeh was the first to score through Alvaro de Oliveira in the 47th minute, before Khor Fakkan equalized in the 61st minute through Italon Felipe.

With this result, the “Eagles” raised their score to 24 points in ninth place, while Al-Bataeh added a point to its score to reach 19 points in twelfth place, so that the two teams remain under pressure from the bottom of the standings.
