The UAE strongly condemns the Israeli attacks on Lebanon

The UAE condemned in the strongest terms the attacks launched by Israel on several areas in Lebanon, and expressed its concern about the continued escalation and its repercussions on security and stability in the region.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for the need for concerted international efforts to stop attacks to prevent bloodshed, and for civilians to enjoy full protection under international law and international treaties.

‎The Ministry stressed the UAE’s full solidarity with the Lebanese government and its support in this critical stage that brotherly Lebanon is going through, stressing its firm commitment to supporting Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

‎The Ministry also affirmed the UAE’s firm position in rejecting violence, escalation, and knee-jerk actions and reactions, without the slightest regard for the laws governing the relations and sovereignty of states, which complicate the situation and increase the risks of instability, stressing the necessity of resolving disputes through diplomatic means, away from the language of confrontation and escalation.
