The amount of shares traded on the Bahrain Stock Exchange during this week amounted to 7 million 175 thousand and 137 shares with a total value of 2 million 269 thousand and 915 Bahraini dinars, executed by brokers for the benefit of investors through 571 transactions.

During this week, investors traded shares of 24 companies. The share prices of 8 companies rose, while the share prices of 10 companies fell, and the rest of the companies maintained their previous closing prices.

The financial sector occupied first place in this week’s transactions, as the value of its traded shares amounted to one million and 82 thousand and 421 Bahraini dinars, or 47.69% of the total value of traded shares, with an amount of 4 million and 291 thousand and 671 shares, which were executed through 272 transactions.

The second place went to the basic materials sector, where the value of its traded shares amounted to 559 thousand and 350 Bahraini dinars, representing 24.64% of the total value of shares traded on the stock exchange, with an amount of 639 thousand and 143 shares, which were executed through 162 transactions.

At the corporate level, Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) came in first place in terms of value, with the value of its shares reaching 559,350 Bahraini dinars, representing 24.64% of the value of traded shares, with a quantity of 639,143 shares, executed through 162 transactions.

Al Salam Bank came in second place with a value of 434 thousand and 35 Bahraini dinars, or 19.12% of the value of traded shares, with an amount of 2 million and 114 thousand and 763 shares, which were executed through 160 transactions.

Returning to the trading rates during this week over 5 working days, we find that the daily average value of shares traded amounted to 453 thousand and 983 Bahraini dinars, while the daily average amount of shares traded was 1 million 435 thousand and 27 shares, and the average number of transactions during this week amounted to 114 deals.
