Mohammed bin Rashid: We are proud of our country… of our head of state… of our armed forces… of the strength of our economy… of our work teams… of all our citizens and residents of our land… proud of our flag.

DUBAI, 9 APRIL / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, called on the people of the Emirates and residents of its good land to raise the flag of the United Arab Emirates above homes, institutions and buildings, as an expression of pride in the homeland, a renewal of loyalty and belonging, and a consolidation of the values ​​of unity on which the country’s journey was based.

His Highness stressed that the UAE flag represents a symbol of its strength, evidence of its determination, and a banner of its glory, noting that raising it above homes, buildings, and institutions embodies feelings of love and pride, and reflects the cohesion of society behind the flag of the Union.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “The UAE entered the recent crisis united… and emerged from it more united, united and loyal… citizens and residents… young and old… military and civilians… governmental and economic… everyone is united under the state’s banner, its flag, and the symbol of its unity… the UAE flag is a symbol of strength and pride.”

His Highness added, “We call on the people of the Emirates and the residents of its good land to raise it above homes, institutions and buildings. We are proud of our country. We are proud of our president. We are proud of our armed forces. We are proud of the strength of our economy. We are proud of our work teams. We are proud of all our citizens and residents of our land. We are proud of our flag.”

His Highness said: “Let us raise the flag high above every house and building… evidence of our love… and a symbol of our loyalty to our head of state… and the banner of our unity and unification… May God protect the Emirates and its people and perpetuate its banner and glory with glory.”

His Highness’s call comes within the framework of enhancing pride in national achievements, consolidating national identity, and highlighting the symbolism of the flag as a symbol of the unity of the Emirates and the pride of its people.

The initiative reflects the meaning of loyalty to the leadership, to the heroes of the first line of defense in the country, and to all residents who consider the UAE their homeland, and the emphasis that the flag is a national symbol and a living witness to the process of union, achievement and development.

The initiative establishes among members of society and its institutions that participating in raising the flag is a shared national responsibility, expresses the cohesion between the leadership, the people and residents, and translates the spirit of belonging into practical behavior and public and national expression that appears in various sectors and in every home, building and institution.
