Trump is waiting for “concrete” pledges from allies regarding Hormuz

A NATO spokeswoman said that US President Donald Trump expects “concrete” commitments from his NATO allies to contribute to securing the Strait of Hormuz, after his talks with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.
Spokeswoman Alison Hart explained that Rutte informed the partners of what happened in his meetings in Washington.
She added: “It is clear that Washington is waiting for concrete pledges and measures to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.”
For its part, Bloomberg News Agency quoted a senior NATO official as saying that the United States asked the European allies to submit practical plans within days, while the German magazine “Der Spiegel” reported similar details.
