The UAE showcases advanced technologies and innovative solutions in the defense and security industries during its participation in the FIDAE 2026 exhibition in Chile.

José Antonio Caste, President of the Republic of Chile, opened the International Aviation, Space, Defense and Security Exhibition (FIDAE 2026) in the Chilean capital, Santiago. During his tour of the exhibition, Cast visited the pavilion of the Emirati “EDGE” group, and praised the qualitative participation of the UAE and the advanced technologies and innovative solutions it provides in the field of defense and security industries.
Mohammed Al Neyadi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Chile, stressed that the UAE’s participation in this international exhibition represents a prominent strategic milestone that reflects its ambitious vision towards building qualitative international partnerships in the fields of advanced technology and innovation, in a way that strengthens security and stability systems at the global level.
He explained that the first appearance of the EDGE Group at this prestigious international event in South America is an embodiment of growing confidence in the UAE’s advanced capabilities in the defense industries sector, and reflects an ambitious strategic vision based on developing integrated solutions capable of anticipating the challenges of the future and responding to them with high efficiency, thus contributing to strengthening the UAE’s leadership position on the global stage.
He pointed out that the relations between the UAE and the Republic of Chile are witnessing increasing momentum and remarkable development, driven by a common will to enhance cooperation in the economic, technical and investment fields, stressing that Chile is an important strategic partner for the UAE in Latin America due to its open economy and a supportive environment for innovation and international trade.
Al Neyadi also stressed the UAE’s belief in the importance of building bridges of cooperation between various countries of the world, pointing out that partnerships based on knowledge and technology transfer represent an essential foundation for confronting global challenges and achieving common development and prosperity.
He concluded his statement by emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to continue working with its partners in the Republic of Chile and Latin American countries to develop cooperation in vital sectors, in a way that supports efforts to achieve stability and sustainable development at the regional and international levels.
