I look forward to the Iran negotiations and we will not respond to any attempts at evasion

US Vice President J.D. Vance said on Friday that he is looking forward to the Iran negotiations and believes they will be “constructive,” adding that President Donald Trump has given the US negotiating team very clear directions regarding the negotiations to end the Iran war.
Vance’s statements to reporters came before he boarded the plane leaving Washington, heading to Pakistan, to attend the negotiations with Iran expected on Saturday, in the capital, Islamabad, which is witnessing an unusual calm, after the announcement of a sudden public holiday for two days, and intense security measures, prior to the arrival of the American and Iranian delegations to hold their first talks.
Vance added: “If the Iranians are ready to negotiate in good faith, then we are certainly ready to extend our hand. But if they try to evade us, they will find that the negotiating team will not be responsive.”
