Cairo, April 11 / WAM / His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, confirmed that the United Arab Emirates’ victory is that hosting the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund for the year 2029 in the capital, Abu Dhabi, is an achievement that reflects the advanced global position that the country has reached on the economic and financial levels, and a source of pride and pride for every Arab.
He stressed that this international selection expresses the confidence of the international community in the strength of the UAE economy, the efficiency of its financial and monetary policies, and the development of its investment environment, as well as its success in consolidating economic stability and strengthening international partnerships.
He added that this achievement comes under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” which established an integrated development model based on innovation, openness, and strengthening international partnerships, which made the country a global destination for hosting major international economic events, and strengthened its position as a global center for economic decision-making.
Al Yamahi pointed out that hosting these major meetings, which bring together central bank governors and finance ministers from various countries around the world, represents an important platform for enhancing international dialogue on economic issues and formulating joint solutions to confront global challenges.
