Dubai Chambers and the Chinese Council for the Promotion of Trade – Shanghai are discussing strengthening economic relations

Dubai Chambers, with the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Shanghai, discussed developing economic relations and improving investment and trade cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and China.

A meeting between the two sides, attended by Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, and Yang Dongqing, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Shanghai, reviewed ways to enhance the bilateral partnership in addition to the most prominent sectors that provide promising opportunities for companies operating in Dubai and their Chinese counterparts, especially in the field of the digital economy.

Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah said that Dubai Chambers is keen to expand trade and investment ties with China based on the depth of the economic partnership that brings together the two sides, and in a way that contributes to expanding business horizons and joint growth.

He stressed the commitment to continue working to develop cooperation paths between the business communities in Dubai and China, facilitate the flow of bilateral investments, and explore promising opportunities in priority sectors, including the digital economy.

Chinese companies ranked seventh on the list of new foreign companies joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in 2025, with 1,583 companies and a growth of 7% on an annual basis.
