Under the directives of the “Mother of the Nation”… the General Women’s Union conducts an official visit to China to build strategic partnerships

Under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, a delegation from the General Women’s Union will conduct an official visit to the friendly People’s Republic of China during the period from April 12 to 19, 2026, headed by Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the Union.

This visit comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China, and building strategic partnerships that support women’s empowerment and contribute to enhancing their impact in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation and investment, in line with the UAE’s trends in empowering women and enhancing their role in sustainable development.

The visit also aims to expand the horizons of international cooperation, explore opportunities for joint work, and exchange experiences with relevant entities and institutions, in a way that enhances the presence of Emirati women in various economic and development sectors.

The visit is scheduled to witness a series of meetings and meetings with more than 100 Chinese entities, including government agencies, economic institutions, and organizations concerned with women’s empowerment, in addition to the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding that support paths of joint cooperation and contribute to building qualitative and sustainable partnerships between the two sides.
