Ajman Chamber organizes a forum "Sustainability in the industrial sector"

Ajman, April 12 / WAM / The Ajman Chamber organized a forum entitled “Sustainability in the Industrial Sector” to announce the launch of the first phase of the “Eco Smart Industry” initiative, and to highlight the best practices and experiences in rationalizing consumption, preserving resources and recycling.

The forum, which was organized at the Fairmont Ajman Hotel, was attended by Mohammed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Member Support Services Sector, Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, Director of the Member Affairs Department, Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of the Government Communications Department, and owners and officials of more than 20 factories operating in the emirate.

Maryam Al Nuaimi, the initiative’s official, Head of the Marketing and Corporate Communications Department at the Ajman Chamber, provided a comprehensive explanation of how factories can participate in the “Eco Smart Industry” initiative, explaining the steps for registering and joining the first phase, the criteria for evaluating environmental readiness, and the daily interaction the initiative provides to measure capabilities for sustainability, energy conservation, and resource conservation.

Al Nuaimi said that the initiative constitutes an interactive platform to display best practices in the field of industrial sustainability, monitor constructive proposals and exchange experiences between participating establishments, which contributes to developing innovative, applicable solutions and promoting a culture of continuous improvement towards more efficient and sustainable performance.

Owners and officials of factories participating in the forum presented a set of successful experiences and practices in the fields of energy efficiency, resource management and emissions reduction, in addition to reviewing success stories of adopting sustainable solutions that contributed to improving operational performance and reducing costs.

The attendees praised the importance of the forum as an effective platform to enhance cooperation and open opportunities for constructive partnerships in the field of industrial sustainability and recycling, in a way that supports the exchange of experiences and the development of joint initiatives that contribute to raising the efficiency of the industrial sector.

It is worth noting that the “Eco Smart Industry” initiative is directed to members of the Ajman Chamber of factories, with the aim of enhancing environmental balance, supporting the shift towards sustainable and balanced production practices, encouraging private sector establishments to adopt the best environmental practices, rationalizing energy consumption and clean energy solutions, and employing smart technologies to increase productivity, which contributes to reducing environmental impact, raising the efficiency of resource use, and supporting sustainable economic development paths.
