“Defense” launches the “Leadership Competencies Assessment” to develop a training system that meets the highest standards of national readiness

The Ministry of Defense announced the launch of the “Leadership Competencies Assessment” directed to male national high school students for the current academic year 2025-2026, as part of its efforts to develop a specialized training system that meets the highest standards of national readiness. This assessment aims to prepare a new generation of leaders and specialized national competencies capable of contributing to protecting the future of the nation and ensuring the sustainability of its security.

The Ministry explained, in a press statement yesterday, that the implementation of this evaluation is being carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, as the experimental phase will begin today and tomorrow, followed by the official phase from the 15th to the 18th of this month of April.

She added: “The launch of the assessment comes in line with the directives of the wise leadership to invest in the capabilities of young citizens, by directing them to an integrated path that focuses on developing personal traits, leadership and cognitive skills, analytical thinking and strategic decision-making, and enhancing their readiness to contribute to the military system and national security.”

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the assessment represents an extension of the state’s vision of preparing generations capable of keeping pace with future changes, combining knowledge and application, and opening up broad horizons for them to contribute to various areas of national development.

The Ministry indicated that the selection of protectors of the homeland is not done randomly, but rather through a system based on commitment and discipline, which makes this initiative a strategic investment in national readiness, societal cohesion, and military strength.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the evaluation comes within the framework of qualifying young people to serve the nation, through developing the training system, in a way that enhances the readiness of the nation’s people and contributes to supporting the development process and sustaining the state’s superiority.

The assessment represents a path to developing young people’s expertise and competencies to be protectors of the nation’s security and stability, as it targets those who seek to face challenges and transcend their borders, and see themselves as future protectors of the nation, not only as leaders, but as protectors.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that text messages will be sent to high school students to begin the evaluation remotely from their homes using their personal devices, calling on everyone to follow its official channels to view registration details and application requirements according to the approved standards.
