SpaceX successfully launches the Cygnus cargo ship to the International Space Station

The American Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, SpaceX, successfully launched the huge cargo ship, Cygnus XL, loaded with more than five tons of equipment destined for astronauts on the International Space Station. A statement from the corporation stated that its Falcon 9 rocket launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Station in Florida at 7:41 a.m. local time, carrying a cargo and supplies vehicle towards the International Space Station, indicating that this mission, which bears the name “ NG-24“, falls within the twenty-fourth flight carried out by the company.
The ship is expected to arrive at its destination tomorrow, Monday, to be picked up using the station’s robotic arm.
This huge payload, which weighs approximately 4,990 kilograms thanks to the new vehicle design, which is 20% larger than previous versions, aims to support a wide range of advanced scientific research in a microgravity environment.
