Kuwait withdraws citizenship from 2,182 people and those who acquired it as a result

Today, the official newspaper Al-Kuwait Al-Youm published the names of 2,182 people from whom 3 decrees were issued withdrawing Kuwaiti citizenship and from those who acquired it through dependency.

The first decree stipulated that it be withdrawn from two people and those with whom he acquired it by dependency, while the second decree stipulated that it be withdrawn from 1,104 people and those with whom he acquired it by dependency, while the third decree stipulated that citizenship be withdrawn from 1,076 people and those with whom he acquired it by dependency.

Kuwaiti media reported that the decision comes based on the laws regulating Kuwaiti citizenship, within the framework of the measures taken by the competent authorities to ensure the integrity of naturalization files, and to review cases that do not meet the legal requirements.
