المملكة: “The Little Farmer” teaches children agricultural skills in Qatif


Launch Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Eastern Province, in partnership with the private sector, the “Little Farmer” event In Qatif Governorate for two days, to consolidate environmental awareness and train children on the basics of agriculture through applied experiments.

The nursery of the branch in Qatif witnessed the organization of interactive activities to teach young people ways to care for soil and water, and to monitor the stages of plant growth, to enhance their close connection with nature.

A basic pillar

The Director of the Agriculture Department, Engineer Walid Al-Shuwaird, confirmed that awareness-raising investment in young generations is “A basic pillar” for achieving Food security and building a sustainable agricultural future.

Engineer Al-Shuwaird explained that the program relies on the “learning by doing” methodology, to develop the skills of research, exploration, and teamwork in children at an early age.

Home Agriculture

Al-Shuwaird explained that the event contributes to introducing young people to the basics of home agriculture, and developing their responsible sense of protecting and preserving natural resources.

He pointed out that The program, which received wide participation and interaction from children, was implemented in cooperation with the Al-Ataa Women’s National Association, and with the support of the Silat Al-Ataa Association in Qatif Governorate, to successfully achieve its awareness and educational goals.
