No discussions with Iran to pay money in exchange for stopping its attacks on us

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari denied on Tuesday that any discussions had taken place between Qatar and Iran regarding paying money to stop Iranian attacks on his country, and stressed that any allegations of such discussions were unfounded.

Al-Ansari stressed in a press conference that his country is currently focusing on defending itself, pointing out the need for the countries of the region to be not only part of the solution to the current crisis, but rather a basis for this solution.

He pointed out that there were no reports indicating that any of the Qatari tankers had been subjected to any attack during the past days.

Al-Ansari added that there is a high level of coordination with Pakistan and America, and our demands are presented through those channels.
