المملكة: Implementation of 84 thousand square meters of upgraded roads and 3 km of duplication in the village of Olaya
Contact the municipality Al-Olaya Village GovernorateImplementing a package of development projects and service programs, within its plans aimed at improving the quality of life and Enhancing the urban landscape, as qualitative achievements were recorded during the first quarter of this year, including the sectors of roads, environment, beautification, and regulatory services.
The mayor, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, explained that the municipality completed a project to double the eastern entrance road with a length exceeding 3 kilometers, and a total area of 53,940 square meters, including the implementation of traffic paints with an area of 2,500 square meters, and the installation of 63 double-armed lighting poles, in addition to Traffic safety signs, which contribute to enhancing safety and improving the flow of movement.
Raising the efficiency of roads
He pointed out the completion of the work to raise the efficiency of roads in the Al-Zuhur neighborhood (A, B, C) with an area of 84,500 square metres, in addition to implementing traffic paints with an area of 3,590 square metres, and completing the asphalting of Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Street with an area of 9,500 square metres, as part of efforts to improve the road network and raise Its efficiency.
In the context of improving the urban landscape, the municipality carried out works to remove waste and rubble amounting to 1,945 cubic metres, in addition to erasing distorted writings on an area of 62 square metres, and removing four violating billboards, which contributes to reducing the manifestations of visual distortion and enhancing the aesthetics of the province.
Developing gardens
In the gardens and beautification sector, the number of trees and flowers planted was 14,754. The municipality also established an “oasis garden” on an area of 11,200 square metres, including green areas with an area of 6,400 square metres, planting 260 trees and 879 flowers, in addition to a football field, a children’s play area, and a sports walkway, to form an integrated recreational outlet for the people. Bahja Sports Park development work also continues.
The development work included public squares, including Najd Eastern Gate Square, Atara Square, and Al-Nabaj Square, with work continuing to develop Wheat Square.
In the field of environmental health, the municipality carried out 669 monitoring tours, resulting in 139 violations recorded, in addition to implementing 12 awareness campaigns to enhance health awareness among community members.
Partnership Community
The period also witnessed the implementation of two community initiatives with the participation of 80 volunteers, with a total of 40 volunteer hours, in support of the principle of community partnership and enhancing the culture of volunteer work.
Dr. Al-Ghamdi stressed that these efforts come within the framework of the municipality’s commitment to developing municipal services and achieving sustainable development goals, in a way that meets the aspirations of citizens and residents, and improves the quality of life in the Olaya Village Governorate.
