“Pensions” launches the “Retirement Consultation Service” to support effective retirement planning

The General Pensions and Social Security Authority announced the launch of the “Retirement Consultation Service,” which aims to provide accurate legal and technical guidance on the pension law, enabling citizens to understand the procedures followed, enhancing customers’ awareness of their rights and duties, and helping them plan for retirement and make sound decisions in light of clearer and more transparent information.

The new service is available through the “Maashi” digital platform, and provides specialized consultations to beneficiaries about the controls and retirement laws applied by the Authority, exploring the best insurance opportunities for their retirement future, and learning about services that would contribute to improving their retirement plans.

The service allows beneficiary citizens to ask questions and inquiries related to the insurance position of the person consulting, and to know the current or future value of the insurance benefits that he will receive at the end of service, whether for a real or hypothetical period, in addition to inquiring about any services he would like to benefit from in order to help him plan for retirement in an ideal way.

The Authority’s Executive Director of the Pensions Sector, Hind Al Suwaidi, said that the Authority is committed to supporting its customers by providing reliable information and accurate guidance about pension and social security laws in the UAE, explaining that the Authority’s mission is to provide beneficiaries with a clear understanding of their retirement status and the options available to them, which enables them to make informed financial decisions to ensure a safe and stable retirement.

She added that the Authority guarantees the accuracy of the information provided, while the responsibility for making final decisions falls on the beneficiary.

This service can be accessed by logging into the customer’s personal account on the digital platform “Maashi”, selecting “Retirement Consultation Service” from the list of available services, and booking an appointment after specifying the appropriate date and time for the customer, after which the customer automatically receives a link to join the consultation session via the “Microsoft Teams” program to the registered email address.

The Authority recommended that customers review their personal files on the platform in advance, and prepare the questions or points they wish to discuss in order to benefit from the time allocated for the session provided by a specialized team from the Authority, who have sufficient skills and experience to enhance the awareness of the insured and enable him to understand his insurance status and the paths he can follow in order to reach a safe and comfortable retirement, and enjoy the best insurance benefits.

The launch of the new service is in line with the Authority’s commitment to providing proactive digital services that enhance the user experience and improve the efficiency of government performance at the level of management and development of services.

The launch of the new consultation service also falls within the Authority’s digital transformation strategy, which is based on reimagining government service in an innovative format that suits the various needs of citizens, in support of their financial stability and planning for retirement.
