Increase in the price of tomatoes and potatoes
The price of local tomatoes increased by 7.9% during March, recording 4.9 riyals per kilo compared to 4.5 riyals per kilo in February. Local carrots also rose by 6.7%, reaching 6.2 riyals per kilo, compared to 5.8 riyals in the previous month. As for potatoes, they recorded an increase of 2.3%, recording 4.1 riyals in March, compared to 4 riyals in the previous month.
Green beans recorded a slight increase of 1%, as the price of a kilogram reached 10.9 riyals in March, compared to 10.8 riyals in February. Pumpkin also rose by 1% to 5.8 riyals, lentils by 0.9% to 9.4 riyals, fava beans stabilized at 4.6 riyals (450-gram package), local sauce at 2 riyals (135-gram package), and sweet corn at 6.2 riyals (340-gram package).
Onion and cabbage prices decreased

The local cucumber also declined by 2.7%, as its price recorded 5.1 riyals per kilo in March compared to 5.2 riyals in February. Local black eggplant decreased by 2.1%, reaching 5.1 riyals per kilo, compared to 5.3 riyals in the previous month.
