A joint program between Dubai Digital and Human Resources to train 50,000 employees on artificial intelligence

DUBAI, 15 APRIL / WAM / “Digital Dubai” announced the launch of the “Artificial Intelligence (AI+) Programme” to train 50,000 employees in the Dubai Government, as part of a joint initiative with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department and the Dubai Center for the Uses of Artificial Intelligence, which is supervised by the Dubai Future Foundation.

This comes within the framework of the emirate’s efforts to enhance the readiness of government cadres for future requirements and accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies in government work.

The program aims to empower Dubai Government employees with the skills and knowledge necessary to employ artificial intelligence in developing government services and institutional operations, through specialized training paths for each job category, which contributes to raising productivity, improving performance efficiency, and establishing a culture of innovation.

His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Mansouri, Director General of Digital Dubai, said that the launch of the program reflects the emirate’s commitment to empowering government employees to be an active partner in developing smart and proactive services based on data and knowledge, stressing that the initiative represents a practical step to achieve the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and enhance Dubai’s position as a world-leading digital city.

For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, stressed that investing in people represents the basic foundation for creating the future, noting that the program aims to raise the efficiency of government performance, enhance productivity, and establish a culture of continuous learning and institutional innovation.

In turn, His Excellency Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, explained that the program contributes to accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence applications at the level of government agencies, by building qualitative capabilities and developing innovative business models with a tangible impact.

The program includes multiple training tracks that include executive leadership, artificial intelligence CEOs, department managers, and those in charge of products and services, in addition to a general track for employees that focuses on the skills of using artificial intelligence in the work environment, including command engineering, task automation, and productive applications.

It is expected that the program’s outcomes will contribute to enhancing employees’ familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies, accelerating productivity levels, and building sustainable institutional capabilities, thus supporting the development of a future government model based on innovation and advanced technologies.
